San Nicolas hosts Christ the King 2024
THE town of San Nicolas hosted some 10,000 Catholics on November 24 during the celebration of Christ the King 2024, a meaningful religious moment for the local community.
It was in 1996 when the municipality last hosted the event.
Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez and residents of San Nicolas collaborated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Urdaneta and the St. Nicholas of Tolentino Parish of San Nicolas in highlighting the ideals of Christ’s kingdom, which embody love, justice, and peace.
“During these challenging times, this celebration brought us hope and encouraged us to continue our faith and trust in God,” she said.
The celebration began with a Pontifical and Concelebrated Mass at the San Nicolas Municipal Park, presided by Rev. Jacinto Jose, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Urdaneta. (Erica Ortiz/Intern)
