THE Tribu Pandan, a cultural group from Mapandan, performed a unique blend of music, dance and artistry, stealing the show in the recent ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet 2024 held at the Philippine Army Training and Doctrine Command at Camp O’Donnel in Capas, Tarlac.

The group’s mesmerizing presentation that highlighted the vibrancy of Filipino culture was met with thunderous applause.

Mapandan Mayor Karl Christian Vega expressed support to the group while Vice Mayor Freddie Penullar and municipal councilors underscored why Tribu Pandan serves as a cultural ambassador not just for Mapandan but for the country.

Vega said Tribu Pandan’s superb performance “was a testament to the power of culture in creating connections and bringing honor to our hometown.”

Tribu Pandan was invited to the event to highlight how art and culture can serve as a bridge for unity among members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. (Trisha Visperas/Intern)
