THE Super Health Center in the town of San Fabian officially opened on September 5, with Senator Bong Go, chair of the Senate Committee on Health, attending the inauguration ceremony.

San Fabian is one of the 26 locations in the province designated for the establishment of a Super Health Center, which are medium-sized poly clinics advocated by Go in 2021.

A total of 629 Super Health Centers had been built nationwide as of 2023, and another 100 are targeted for this year, including the 26 in Pangasinan.

These facilities are intended to alleviate overcrowding in hospitals and bring medical services closer to the public, especially those residing in remote areas.

Go is also pushing for the construction of Regional Specialty Centers, such as for heart, kidney, and neonatal centers, alongside the Super Health Centers. (Ahikam Pasion)
