Another Binmaley lass wins national beauty pageant

A LADY from Binmaley was crowned Miss Heritage Ambassador 2024 during the recent Miss Pearl of the Orient Philippines 2024 held at the Tanghalang Pasigueño, Pasig City.

Patricia Anne Nichole Bangug’s feat was recognized through a citation awarded on August 5 by the Pangasinan provincial board, led by Vice Gov. Mark Ronald Lambino.

The citation mentioned the province’s “immense pride in celebrating the exceptional achievements of its representatives in the world of pageantry, who exemplify beauty, intelligence, and cultural heritage on both national and international stages.”

She bested 13 other candidates, “bringing pride, joy, and honor not only to the people of the Province of Pangasinan, but most especially to her kabaleyans in Binmaley,” reads in part of the resolution authored by Second District Board Member Haidee Pacheco.

Miss Pearl of the Orient Philippines is a platform that represents the values and culture of the Filipino people through pageantry and charity initiatives, organized and produced by Oriental Beauty Philippines Charities, Inc.

The 24-year-old Bangug hails from Barangay San Isidro Norte, and had been crowned Binibining Binmaley 2019 and Limgas na Pangasinan Turismo 2019.

Her victory follows that of another Binmaleyan, Nikhisah Buenafe Cheveh, who recently won the crown as Miss Multinational Philippines 2024. (Eva Visperas)
