Sabangan is new prov’l Liga ng mga Barangay prexy
THE provincial federation of Liga ng mga Barangay (Pangasinan chapter) recently elected its new officers led by Raul Sabangan as president.
Sabangan, former Bayambang vice mayor, replacing Jeanne Jinky Zaplan of Sta. Barbara, will be an ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP).
The election of the new Liga officers was supervised by Department of Interior and Local Government Pangasinan Provincial Director Virgilio Sison and Commission on Election Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Marino Salas.
Other elected officers were: Maria Doriza Ramos (Sta. Maria), vice president; Joseph Mamaril (Basista), auditor; while Alexander Aquino (Mapandan), Betty Ballesteros (Aguilar), Jomar Callejo (Alcala), Patrick Caramat (Calasiao), Jerald James Cariño (Bolinao), Jose Pajeta Jr (Agno), Richard Palisoc (Mangatarem) and Lloyd Jethro Zaplan (Sta. Barbara) as members of the board of directors.
Sabangan consistently ran unopposed as barangay chairman in Zone 6, then as municipal federation president of Bayambang up to the provincial Liga elections. (Eva Visperas)
