Junior, Senior Hi students compete in Padunungan 2024
YOUNG Pangasinenses will again vie for honors in the annual Padunungan organized by the University of the Philippines Subol Society (UPSS) on January 26 at the Sison Auditorium, Lingayen town.
Rachzea Mae Riparip, Padunungan 2024 head, said the competition will be divided into two divisions: Junior High School and Senior High School.
Among the contests to be held are Essay Writing written in Pangasinan, Extemporaneous Speaking in Filipino, and the Group Inter-Campus Quiz Show that will feature facts and trivias about Pangasinan, Video Making Contest for JHS, Film-Making Contest for the SHS, and the Pangasinan Contemporary Dance.
Junior high school students may also join the on-the-spot poster making contest.
All six Schools Division Offices (SDOs) in the province have endorsed the Padunungan being a tough competition for all students.
To date, 50 junior high schools and 46 senior high schools have registered.
The Padunungan is an annual activity where schools and students from the province may showcase their intellect, wit, and skills in the art of arts and languages.
The UP Subol Society has been in existence for the past 43 years and is composed of UP students who hail from Pangasinan.
