EASTER SUNDAY’s “SALUBONG” BY THE BEACH

EASTER SUNDAY’s “SALUBONG” BY THE BEACH The traditional Easter Sunday pre-dawn Salubong was staged at the Tondaligan Beach as Abet-abet ed Olin Inbilay,’ an adaptation of the traditional ritual of the lifting of mourning that heralds Easter. Aside from the meeting of Jesus and Mother Mary, there was the encounter of Jesus and St John (the city’s Patron Saint) as a fisherman–along with the apostles. (Punchphoto by Willie Lomibao)
