BARANGAY Pantal’s bet, 23-year-old accountancy graduate Ghelsy Reign Andaya Ravago bested 30 other candidates to win the title Miss Diamond Dagupan 2022 after her impressive responses during beauty and brains competition held last December 19, 2022 at the City Plaza.

Her title earned her P75,000 cash prize. She also won the Miss Flawless Award.

“Dagupan City – A Perfect Place. I can see that Dagupan City is embracing change and at the same time, it is accepting modernization. And I really appreciate the efforts of the LGU to improve the tourist spots. I believe that Dagupan City is a perfect place to start a business, to start a family for us to live in peace and harmony,” was Ravago’s winning slogan to promote tourism and sustainable peace in Dagupan City.

The event, streamed live online via the Dagupan City Information Office Facebook page and garnered thousands of views, was one of the highlights of the Diamond Jubilee City Fiesta 2022 and the year-long celebration of the city’s 75th Founding Anniversary.

Thirty-one diamond beauties representing each of the city’s 31 barangays displayed their best forms in swimsuit and evening gown creations of local designers in Dagupan and Pangasinan.

Making it to the top six were Ghelsy Reign Ravago (Pantal), Diana Mae Pangan (Tapuac), Mica Ella Gemino (Mangin), Clarisse Ferrer (Lucao), Kylie del Rosario (Pugaro) and Klea Ayson (Malued) and were asked to propose a slogan to promote tourism and peace in the city.  Gemino emerged as first runner-up (P50,000) while Del Rosario placed second runner-up (P30,000).

The Coronation Night for Miss Diamond Dagupan 2022 will be held on December 26 at the City Plaza as part of Balikbayan Night.

Other awards during the event were Miss Ava Organico – Diana Mae Pangan (Tapuac); Miss Unlala – Klea Ayson (Malued); Miss Army Navy – Cris Ann delos Reyes (Caranglaan); Miss Skin Manila – Frenzy Mae de Vera (Mamalingling); Miss Java Green Coffee – Lyra Daisyree Zabala (Barangay IV); Miss Congeniality – Clarisse Ferrer (Lucao); Miss Photogenic – Maria Denise Jaye dela Rama (Carael); Best in Swimsuit – Tonette Alexandrea Mendoza (Bacayao Norte); Miss Elite Concepts Production – Tonette Alexandrea Mendoza (Bacayao Norte); Miss Headzone – Tonette Alexandrea Mendoza (Bacayao Norte); Best in Evening Gown – Tonette Alexandrea Mendoza (Bacayao Norte); Miss Sizzling County – Diana Mae Pangan (Tapuac); Miss Natura Kutis Glow – Kylie del Rosario (Pugaro); Darling of the Press – Frenzy Mae de Vera (Mamalingling); and Smart People’s Choice 2022 – Mica Ella Gemino (Mangin).
