SIXTY-three day care children of the Bacag Central School in Villasis town were hosted to a feeding program by the Alpha Phi Omega (APhiO) International Service Fraternity and Sorority last December 14.

The feeding and gift-giving program was part of the celebration of the 75th founding anniversary of the APhiO, founded on December 16, 1925.

As one of the oldest fraternal organization nationwide, APO members from various parts of the Philippines gather every year to pick places where a community service project can be undertaken.

In recent past anniversaries, APhiO conducted tree planting, gift giving to children/disabled and with mental disorder patients, bloodletting teamed up with the Philippine Red Cross, visitation and gift-giving to ‘Persons Deprived of Liberty’ in coordination with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and environmental sanitation project in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The activity was participated in by APO alumni from Eastern Pangasinan Romeo Tuvera as consultant. #
