THE 2-day Children’s Summit on Health, an annual children’s summit series started by Mayor Belen Fernandez and the Dagupan City Schools Division Office, was a huge success when it staged a comeback last weekend.

The event held last Saturday and Sunday at CSI Stadia, was conducted as part of the Diamond Jubilee Year of Dagupan as a city and was timed for the observance of the National Children’s Month this November.

The Children’s Summit showcased different talents of the Dagupan youth in various  competitions – Quiz Bee, Spelling Bee and  Trivia, Cook Fest, Salad Making and Tuna Sandwich Making, Hip-Hop Dance Competition, Jingle Writing and Singing Contest and Poster Making Contest.

Participants received gift packs from sponsors as well as partners of CSI Group of Companies.

Recall that during the first term of Mayor Fernandez, the children’s summit played a key role when Dagupan City was adjudged a National awardee of the 2017 Presidential Seal for the Child-Friendly City.  (Dagupan CIO)
