Mayor Bataoil reelected LMP chapter president

LINGAYEN Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil was reelected president of the League of Municipal Mayors of the Philippines-Pangasinan chapter in an election held August 6 in Lingayen.

The election coincided with the LMP Chapters’ General Assembly which was attended by Governor Ramon Guico III, as guest of honor and speaker.

The LMP chapter’s vice presidents are: Mayor Liseldo Calugay of Sual (operations), Mayor Carlito Zaplan of Sta. Barbara (internal affairs), Mayor Jeremy Agerico Rosario of Manaoag (external affairs), and Mayor William Cezar of Rosales (special concerns).

Mayor Mamilyn Caramat of Calasiao was elected secretary; Mayor Pedro Merrera II of Binmaley (treasurer), Mayor Karl Christian Vega of Mapandan (auditor), and Mayor Ricardo Balderas of Laoac (provincial information officer).

Members of the board of directors are Mayor Facundo Palafox Jr. of Bani (1st District), Mayor Jolly Resuello of Basista (2nd District), Mayor Noel Anthony Geslani of Malasiqui (3rd District), Mayor Leo de Vera of San  Jacinto (4th District), Mayor Kelvin Chan of Pozorrubio (5th District); and Mayor Carlos Lopez Jr. of Asingan (6th District).

The newly elected LMP officers took their oaths before Gov. Guico on August 8 at the Sison Auditorium in Lingayen.

The election was witnessed by DILG Provincial Director Paulinho Lalata and Lingayen Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Gabriel Cornel and Rep. Ramon Guico Jr. of the 5th District.  (Leonardo Micua)
