THE Philippine Red Cross (PRC) inaugurated Friday (April 8) its 100th Branch and Blood Station in Barangay Agdao in San Carlos City.

Senator Richard Gordon, chief executive officer of PRC, Deputy Speaker Rosemarie Arenas, Mayor Julier Resuello and other officials led the inauguration ceremonies.

Gordon said they envisioned to establish 115 branches this year.

Arenas shared P6-million from her congressional fund for the project.

The lot occupied by the branch was acquired through a usufruct agreement with the San Carlos City government.

The San Carlos Branch and Blood Station that can store from 200 to 300 bags of blood of 450 cc each, will be operational next month.

“We built this blood bank here because we want to supply blood,” Gordon said ,”And we will not stop until everybody can be within distance our blood collection unit,” he added. (Eva Visperas)
