Pangasinanse is new regional police director

THE Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) has a new regional director, following a turnover of command on Wednesday morning, March 2 at the Camp BGen Oscar Florendo in San Fernando City, La Union.

P/BrigGen. Westrimundo Obinque succeeded P/BrigGen. Emmanuel Peralta as the regional director of the police forces in the Ilocos Region.

Obinque, a member of the PMA Class 1992, is a native of Labrador town, and a relative of former Malasiqui Mayor Armando Domantay.

Prior to serving as regional director, Obinque was assigned at the office of the chief PNP.

Meanwhile, Peralta is the new chief of the Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development (HRDD) in Camp Crame.

Peralta assumed post of regional director of PRO1 on February 2, 2021.

Obinque’s marching order I as regional chief is to ensure that police remain non-partisan and neutral. (Ahikam Pasion)
