Capitol provides P17.7M scholarship to PSU scholars
THE provincial government under the Espino administration again awarded P17.7 million worth of scholarship assistance to 1,770 Pangasinan State University (PSU) scholars.
At the last scholarship awarding on October 19 at Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) Gymnasium in Lingayen, Gov. Amado Espino III Espino congratulated the 380 scholars of PSU-Urdaneta City and PSU-Asingan deserving scholars and urged them to be heroes of their family and the province.
The scholarship assistance to the PSU scholars under the Provincial Scholarship Program (PSP) was institutionalized by the Provincial Ordinance No. 205, series of 2017.
Board Member Nestor ‘Nikiboy’ Reyes urges the scholars to not let poverty hinder their dreams, to be open-minded, and keep on trying until they succeed.
Meanwhile, Board Member Nicholi Jan Louie Q. Sison, encouraged the students to be a proud provincial government scholar and a proud Pangasinense.
Board Member Rosary Gracia Perez-Tababa, applauded the scholarship program and assured that the program will continue and help more deserving scholars in the province.
The awarding of scholarship assistance was held in six batches, which started on October 1 for PSU-Alaminos City and PSU-Infanta; October 8 for PSU-San Carlos City and PSU-Sta. Maria; October 11 for PSU-Bayambang and PSU-Binmaley; and October 18- PSU Lingayen.
