Llamas tops diplomate exam in rehab medicine

DR. Jose Alfonso R. Llamas of Dagupan City placed second in the recently concluded 2021 Philippine Board of Rehabilitation Medicine Written Diplomate Examination.

In topping the said examination, Dr. Llamas is now following the footsteps of his grandfather, the late Dr. Gaudencio M. Reyes, his parents Dr. Alfonso P. Llamas Jr, and Dra. Moni R. Llamas and his elder sister Dra. Jacqueline Llamas-Rapacon, a pediatric rheumatologist from UP-PGH/US, and brother-in-law Dr. Ralph Lazarus R. Rapacon, a surgical oncologist from UP-PGH/UST.

Dr. Llamas studied medicine at the University of Sto, Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and pursued his residency training at the UST Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

He had his elementary education at Dominican School in Dagupan and finished his secondary education at Mother Goose Special Science High School, also in Dagupan.

Dr. Llamas plans to practice his specialty in Dagupan City and Pangasinan.
