MGSSHS upholds track records

WHETHER regional or national competition, the Mother Goose Special Science High School has long established its dominance in science competitions. 

In the recent DEP-ED National Science Fair held at Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, MGSSHS science research entry entitled “Nymphea Nouchali; Sleeping Lily” landed 4th in the Top 8 Finalists from over a hundred investigatory science entries nationwide.

The young scientists, Marilyn Katrina Castro, Anna Monica Pastoral and Christopher Caras with their advisers Mrs. Socorro Ringor and Ms. Fabella Imanil, received their awards.

Not to be outdone, the Computer Team, composed of Anna Monica Pastoral, Jeric Paulo Lim and Lovelia Vallo headed by their adviser, Ms. Marydjell Pabona, was declared champion in the 5th Regional AMA Information Technology Contest held recently in San Fernando City, La Union.

The winning team will go on a televised national competition next week.

Meanwhile, another winner, Levi James C. Dy won 3rd Place in the Region I Information and Communication Technology expo ’06 held in  San Fernando City, La Union. He was accompanied by his coach, Mr. Leonusto Celzo.
