All about money

I don’t know if a reconciliation is still possible between the group of Mayor Belen and the seven magnificent  councilors.

I have it on reliable source that the seven would like to have a share in  the pie of whatever funds the city may have for their own so-called Citywide Development Fund (the local version of the outlawed Countrywide Development Fund ).

Is it P5 million for each city councilor?

How this sharing with the majority councilors can be implemented will need the creativity of Mayor Belen and her group if she decides to give in in exchange for their approval of the long pending Supplemental Budget No. 2-2024.

This is the sad state of our city of Dagupan today. Integrity is lost. Hindi nagkakasundo dahil sa credit-grabbing at pera! PWE!

I watched the interview of June Keithly years back regarding the apparition of the Lady of Mediatrix in Batangas.

Unfortunately, this apparition was not even given credence by the Vatican.

What was intriguing about the apparition was the mention of China being one of the main players in global politics and conquest.

This revelation to one of the Sisters in Batangas ( sorry I forgot her name) is similar to the miracle of Our Lady of Fatima urging everybody to pray the rosary for the conversion of then Soviet Russia into a God-fearing country.

The empire of Soviet Russia fell but a few years later, another dictator by the name of Vladimir Putin is now waging war against Ukraine and other European nations.

The alleged apparition in Batangas no longer mentions Russia as a threat but the Chinese government.

My friends, the Chinese government is, indeed, a serious threat given their unprecedented advances in technology and warfare.

Since the introduction of the Great Leap Forward by Deng Xiao Peng, the Chinese have advanced so much, that it became a premier nation of the world.

The request of Archbishop Soc Villegas is to pray for the protection of the Philippinesagainst the Chinese, to desist from invading the Philippines as a result of our amity with the United States and other allied nations in the Southeast Asia vis-a-vis the West Philippine Sea.

If and when war erupts between the U.S. and China over Taiwan and WPS, we will be caught in the crossfire.

President Marcos seems to be aligning himself with the  U.S. that much, forgetting that China can strike the Philippines anytime.

Let us not play with fire!

I congratulate Senator Sonny Angara on his appointment as DepEd secretary.

I am glad that he has accepted the post.

With his influence in the budgetary process of Congress, I am confident that he will give more to education.

Incidentally, I watched on YouTube the virtual classrooms of the Chinese educational system from elementary to secondary.

Sadly, we had been left behind.

While we are still discussing and appropriating funds for more classrooms, improving the quality of teaching and materials for our students, the Chinese have left us by by millions of  miles.

With all the problems of DepEd, will Secretary Angara be able to turn the table around?

My unsolicited advice is for him to make an observation tour to see the educational development in China and let President Marcos declare martial law on our educational system devoid of political shenanigans seriously affecting DepEd.

Compared to their educational system, we are still in the primitive stage!
