i prayed for change
the old to exchange
for the unknown
tomorrow
the southern wind blew
carrying something new
a promise of change
he talks, he changes
everything he says,
he changes
in or out? in or out?
a song, a whistle, a desire
what’s your question?
that’s my answer, secret.
for every word, a meaning
which is not the meaning
of what he is thinking
be careful what to say
say it anyway,
it hexes, it sexes
problems go away
i am not in favor, of the new flavor
but i will take it, take it!
the big banquet looms
from these hot dining rooms
and i will make it, make it!
you lose, soothsayers!
the meaning is somewhere
chewed in the mouth
of spin surgeons
operating on words
to cast the corrupt
in the deep blue sea
and to the open pit
with the journals
of the dead
and the sermons
of the living dead.
there is a bigger body
than my own body
to hover over
and resuscitate
a cadaver
you cannot, coconut
beat this hard nut
shut up! idiot!
die!
