P-Noy should learn from Ate Glue what power can do

HERE’S what P-Noy said in his Sona.

Ate Glue gave P105 million to her district in Pampanga.  One district.

Ate Glue gave P5 million to Pangasinan. And Pangasinan has six districts.

They were for calamity funds brought on by typhoons, according to P-Noy.

Two days later, P-Noy’s men said the P105 million remained undelivered to recipients.

As to the P5M for Pangasinan, zero.  No news. Kaput.

Anyway, Pampanga wasn’t that badly damaged by Typhoon Pepeng and Ate Glue’s district got P105M.  One district.

Pangasinan, which absorbed disastrous results from that killer howler, got only P5M!  Six districts.

Worst, the destruction in Pangasinan was aggravated by the indiscriminate release of waters of the San Roque Dam in San Manuel.

So, proceed, Guv Spines & Co. Sue those responsible for that dam-aggravated catastrophe!

That P5M for Pangasinan was chicken feed compared to that P105M for Ate Glue’s district.

And Ate Glue is also supposed to be a Pangasinense—her mother, Eva, being a native of Binalonan, if not Malasiqui.

Sadly for us (?), her poor kabaleyans, Ate Glue would run—and win—as representative of that district in Pampanga.  Not in Pangasinan.

Rule of thumb:  You should be patronizing to those you expect their votes to pour in for you come election time.

So from president from 2001 to 2010, Ate Glue is Pampanga congressman from 2010 to 2013; it could stretch up to 2019 if her constituents so desire.

As you know, this is also a nation peopled by fools masquerading as intelligent voters.

You are drunk with power—how else would you describe someone nose-diving to congressman from president?—you do all kinds of tricks, foul or no foul.

Ate Glue becomes a councilor in Lubao, Pampanga, in 2020, who would give a hoot?

Manners are only for poets, never to stealers of votes.

Have you seen a gas station owner becoming a gasoline boy, a restaurant owner becoming a waiter, or a bank owner becoming a teller?

One with self-esteem would gladly glide into a rocking chair and watch the world go by when time is up.

Not Ate Glue.
