POLICE Regional Office 1 (PRO1) seized an estimated PhP340,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a high-value individual (HVI) during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bayaoas, Urdaneta City, on January 4, 2026.

The suspect, a 32-year-old construction worker from Urdaneta City, was identified as an HVI.

Authorities confiscated nine heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing approximately 50 grams. The seized drugs have a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP340,000, along with other non-drug evidence.

P/Brig. General Dindo Reyes, regional director, commended the operatives for their continued anti-drug efforts and reiterated PRO1’s commitment to combat the illegal drug trade.

“In line with the Focused Agenda of Acting Chief PNP, PRO1 will continue to pursue all individuals involved in the illegal drug trade and uphold the safety and security of every resident in Region 1, with the active support of the community,” he said. (Eva Visperas)
