Two dead, one injured in Urbiztondo motorcycle crash

Two men were killed while another was injured when a motorcycle they were riding crashed into a wall in Barangay Bayaoas on Tuesday morning at around 8 a.m., when the victims, all residents of Urbiztondo, were riding on a single motorcycle.

Witnesses said the driver lost control of the motorcycle upon reaching a curved section of the road, causing it to slam into a concrete wall. All three riders were found unconscious and bleeding at the scene and were rushed to the nearest hospital. Two of the passengers were declared dead on arrival, while the driver remains under medical observation due to injuries sustained in the crash.

Drunk motorcyclist injured in highway collision

A 25-year-old motorcyclist was injured after being involved in a collision with a sport utility vehicle along a curved portion of the National Highway in Barangay Poblacion, Sual, authorities said. Police said the rider was driving a motorcycle when he allegedly misjudged the distance of an oncoming vehicle, causing him to veer slightly into the opposite lane and collide with an approaching SUV.

The impact left the motorcyclist with injuries, prompting his immediate transport to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. Authorities later determined that the rider was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The driver of the SUV and four passengers were reported unharmed. However, both vehicles sustained damage and were brought to the police station for proper disposition.

Missing woman found safe in Sison

A 23-year-old woman who was reported missing on the afternoon of January 4, 2026 was found safe later that day in Sison, Pangasinan and placed under police custody, authorities said.

Police said the woman was first reported missing in Barangay Asan Sur, Sison. Later in the afternoon, authorities received information about a woman seen wandering in Barangay Batakil, Pozorrubio.

A concerned citizen assisted the woman and brought her to the residence of Mayor Alma Lomibao for help in reuniting her with her family. Police fetched her from the mayor’s residence and brought her to the Sison police station for processing and coordination with her relatives.

Missing boy found safe in Mangaldan

An eight-year-old boy who was earlier reported missing in Mangaldan has been found safe, authorities said.

The child, identified as Jayson Baniqued, a resident of Barangay Osiem, was discovered hiding inside a parked van in their neighborhood. He was found around noon by children who were playing nearby and reported the sighting to an elderly woman in the area. The woman approached the boy and asked him to come with her. Authorities said the child was crying, weak, and visibly hungry. He was bathed and given food before barangay officials were informed.

The boy’s mother had earlier sought police help after he left home following a scolding. The child was later turned over to local authorities for proper coordination and assessment.

Body of unidentified man found along Labrador shoreline

The body of an unidentified man was found along the shoreline of Barangay Laois in Labrador, authorities said. A 22-year-old student discovered the decomposing body after noticing a foul odor while resting at the beach and immediately reported the matter to barangay officials.

Police described the victim as a male of medium build, about five to seven feet tall, wearing a black T-shirt and no lower garment. He had a green rose tattoo on his left shoulder and a small “RS” tattoo on his left hand. The body was brought to a local funeral home following a post-mortem examination as police work to establish his identity and cause of death.
