Elderly man goes missing outside hospital
AUTHORITIES and family members are now searching for a 78-year-old man who went missing after reportedly stepping outside the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital for a cigarette.
The missing man, identified as Romeo Rafon Prado, a resident of Bugallon, was last seen within hospital premises. His wife, Virginia Cabanilla Prado, 62, reported the incident to the local police after Romeo failed to return. According to his brother Estevan Rafon Prado, who accompanied him to the hospital, Romeo simply said he was going out for a smoke — but never came back.
Romeo Prado is described as 5’5” in height, medium build, brown complexion, and last seen wearing a brown sando layered with a white shirt, denim shorts, black cap, and slippers. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact the nearest police station.

Fire razes two-storey house in Binmaley
A two-story house made of light materials in Sitio San Jose, Barangay Gayaman, was completely engulfed in flames
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Binmaley responded immediately and was assisted by the Panda Volunteers Fire Brigade. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation by BFP Binmaley.
In response to the situation, Cenpelco (Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative) temporarily shut off the power supply in the area to prevent additional hazards, as floodwaters in Barangay Gayaman remained high.

LGU employee shot in Sta. Barbara
POLICE are investigating a shooting incident that injured three people, including a local government employee, on September 27 in Barangay Minien West.
The victim, Mary Ann Villanueva Rosario, 38, of Brgy. Poblacion Norte, was sleeping with her husband Ryan, and their 6-year-old child at her parents’ home when an unidentified gunman tried to break in through a sliding window around 2 a.m. The window was secured with drills, preventing entry, but the suspect spotted Rosario and fired through the glass, hitting her.
Her husband was grazed by a bullet while embracing her. Rosario’s father, Reynaldo Villanueva, also sustained a gunshot wound after trying to help. Her brother, Jerick, was shot at twice but was unharmed. The suspect fled on foot, reportedly circling the back of the house before disappearing.
Investigators are exploring robbery as a motive, as Rosario’s parents reportedly operate a lending business.

Three injured in San Carlos City vehicular accident
THREE individuals were injured in a motorcycle accident on September 29.
A 23-year-old male rider and his 22-year-old female passenger, both from Malasiqui, were struck after a 27-year-old male pedestrian from Dagupan City suddenly crossed the road. The motorcycle was unable to avoid the collision.
All three fell to the ground and sustained various injuries.

26-year-old passenger injured in Asingan accident
A 26-year-old female passenger, a health maintenance organization staff member residing in Asingan, was injured when the tricycle she was riding crashed along the Provincial Road in Barangay Poblacion West.
Police investigation revealed that the 47-year-old tricycle driver hit the left tire of a parked tricycle, lost control of the steering, and skidded off the road. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
