Motorcycle rider seriously injured in collision with car
A 27-year-old man is in critical condition after his motorcycle collided with an oncoming car along the San Manuel-Binalonan Provincial Road in San Manuel.
According to the police investigation, the motorcyclist, a resident of Asingan, was traveling along the road when he suddenly crossed into the lane of the oncoming vehicle, which was being driven by a 47-year-old man from Tondo, Manila, who was unharmed in the incident.
The impact of the collision caused severe damage to the motorcycle, and the rider sustained injuries to various parts of his body. Authorities later discovered that the motorcyclist had been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

Two women arrested in San Jacinto in drug ops
TWO women were arrested in a buy-bust operation for illegal drug trafficking in Barangay Lobong, San Jacinto.
The arrested individuals were a 30-year-old woman from San Fabian and a 33-year-old woman from San Carlos City, who was temporarily staying in San Fabian. Authorities seized 0.6 grams of suspected shabu, with a street value of P4,080.

Two men arrested in separate drug ops
TWO men were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug buy-bust operations conducted by authorities in Pangasinan.
In Mapandan, a 32-year-old warehouse worker from Binmaley was apprehended with 0.060 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P408.00. Meanwhile, in Barangay Laoac, Alcala, a 45-year-old man from Bayambang, identified as a newly known drug pusher, was arrested with 0.16 grams of suspected shabu, worth P1,088.00.
Both suspects are facing charges related to illegal drug activities.

1 dead, 2 injured in three-vehicle collision in Urdaneta City
A 21-year-old man was killed and two others, including a minor, were injured in a vehicular collision involving two motorcycles and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) early morning of September 22.
The victim, identified as Mark Lym Matchoc, was riding his motorcycle behind another motorcycle driven by Jhayrene Dave Echanes Espelita, who had a minor as his passenger. A third vehicle, an SUV driven by Michael Encina De Vera, 38, was also traveling in the same direction.
Investigators say Matchoc’s motorcycle struck the left leg of Espelita’s backrider, causing both motorcycles to fall onto the road. Matchoc then collided with the SUV and was dragged underneath the vehicle to the roadside.
Matchoc and the minor were rushed to the hospital, but Matchoc was declared dead on arrival. The minor sustained injuries but is in stable condition. Espelita also sustained minor injuries.
The SUV and motorcycle drivers were unharmed. Authorities are conducting further investigation to determine liability and whether charges will be filed.

Man with mental health condition drowns in San Carlos City river
THE lifeless body of a 47-year-old man believed to have drowned was found floating in a river in Barangay Pangpang, San Carlos City, on the morning of September 21.
Barangay Captain Eduardo Aquino reported the incident to the police after a young resident searching for spiders discovered the body floating.
Police later identified the victim as Julius Dela Cruz, a resident of Barangay Naguilayan. According to his brother, Joseph Dela Cruz, Julius was last seen alive walking around their barangay around 8:00 p.m. on September 20. He did not return home that night. Family members said Julius had been drinking alcohol when he was last seen and had a known mental health condition.
