Wanted illegal recruiter nabbed in San Manuel

A wanted illegal recruiter, identified as Rogelio Paddit Mendoza, 63,  was apprehended by local authorities in San Manuel on July 1, 2025 based on a court-issued warrant.

Mendoza, a resident of Barangay Guiset Sur, was apprehended by a joint team of local, provincial, and regional law enforcement personnel.

He has been allowed temporary release after posting bail of P8,000 while awaiting further legal proceedings. The arrest highlights ongoing efforts by authorities to combat illegal recruitment and human trafficking activities in the region.

Two street-level druggies caught in Dagupan 

TWO street-level drug dealers from Tayug town were arrested last week at the Tondaligan Baywalk in Dagupan City.

One of the suspects was identified by his alias Dodoy, 26, and his 18-year old cohort. The suspects are now facing charges related to the illegal drug trade, with further legal proceedings underway.

Family of four killed in Infanta accident

A couple and their two minor children died after their vehicle – a garong, which is a modified tricycle – collided with a truck along the national highway in Barangay Bayambang, Infanta.

The victims were identified as Allan Henry Sanchez, his wife, Crisanta, and their two young children.

Initial investigation showed that the garong reportedly struck a tree branch, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. It then veered into the opposite lane and crashed into an oncoming truck driven by Christian Cabral, 43, a resident of Calasiao, who was unharmed in the accident.

The truck driver has since been placed in police custody as authorities conduct further investigation into the fatal crash.

Four, including 3 minors, arrested for store robbery

FOUR individuals, including three minors, were apprehended by police in Rosales following a robbery incident involving a local couple’s store.

According to the victims, they discovered around 5:00 a.m. that their store had been broken into. The suspects allegedly gained entry through a damaged bathroom window. Missing from the store were a laptop worth P30,000, various goods, and an undisclosed amount of coins.

With the help of CCTV footage from the barangay, authorities were able to identify a 19-year-old male suspect along with three minors as the perpetrators. A follow-up operation conducted by the Rosales PNP led to the swift arrest of the suspects. They are currently in police custody pending further investigation and appropriate legal action.

Man dead in Urdaneta road mishap

A 35-year-old man died following a motorcycle collision in Urdaneta City, while two others sustained injuries in a separate motorcycle crash in Binalonan.

According to the Urdaneta City Police, the fatal accident occurred along the Urdaneta-Asingan Road in Zone 5, Barangay Nancalobasaan. The victim, a laborer and city resident, reportedly made a sudden left turn, causing a collision with an oncoming motorcycle.

Both drivers suffered serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared the 35-year-old victim dead on arrival.

In Binalonan, two men were injured after their motorcycles collided along the national highway in Barangay Sta. Maria Norte. A 65-year-old farmer was heading southbound, while a 55-year-old man was traveling northbound when the former reportedly veered into the opposite lane, leading to a head-on collision. Both men were taken to the hospital for treatment.

S&R underway for missing guard believed to have drowned

AUTHORITIES, together with the Alaminos City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), are currently conducting a search and rescue operation for a security guard reported missing on August 25.

The search was prompted after a barangay kagawad discovered a motorcycle submerged in a river in Barangay Balayang. The motorcycle was identified as belonging to 58-year-old Ricardo Gamboa Peralta, a resident of Poblacion, Alaminos City.

Further police investigation revealed that the victim had been missing since Sunday after attending a friend’s party, where he had alcohol and left on his motorbike.

Man stabs fellow during drinking session

A casual drinking gathering in Barangay Ambalangan-Dalin in San Fabian turned violent after a man intervened in a heated discussion, leading to a stabbing incident.

The victim was identified as 47-year-old Rosendo Gabatin dela Cruz, while the suspect is 64-year-old Rodolfo Apellido Acosta.

According to authorities, the incident occurred when a group of men was having a drink at the gathering. Dela Cruz reportedly arrived intoxicated, became unruly, and interfered in the group’s conversations, which sparked tension. The victim was immediately brought to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. Meanwhile, law enforcement swiftly conducted a manhunt operation, resulting in Acosta’s quick arrest.
