LAW enforcers carried out a series of successful anti-illegal drug operations that led to the arrest of five drug suspects and the confiscation of nearly ₱222,000 worth of suspected shabu in Infanta, Dagupan City, and Alaminos City.

In Infanta, police operatives of the town’s police station nabbed a high-value target during a buy-bust operation on September 23, 2025, in Barangay Poblacion. Seized from the suspect were four heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing 9.6 grams with an estimated value of ₱65,280.

Meanwhile, joint operatives of the Dagupan City Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 1 arrested three individuals during a buy-bust operation on the same day in Barangay Pantal. The team recovered three sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 12 grams valued at ₱82,400, along with various drug paraphernalia and buy-bust items.

In a separate operation on September 22, a 54-year-old farmer was arrested in Barangay Bued, Alaminos City, by a composite team from the police and PDEA. Confiscated from him were three sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 11 grams worth ₱74,800, a sachet with shabu residue, marked money, and a motorcycle used in the transaction.

All arrested suspects are in police custody and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PCol Arbel Mercullo, officer-in-charge of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, commended the operatives and reaffirmed the police force’s strong commitment to the government’s intensified anti-drug campaign.

“Every successful operation brings us closer to safer, drug-free communities. We call on the public to continue working with us by providing accurate information so we can protect our youth and maintain peace and order in the province,” he said. (Eva Visperas)
