Farmer killed after being hit with bamboo pole

A 42-year-old farmer died after being struck with a bamboo pole during a heated altercation.

According to police investigations, the victim was drinking with friends when two suspects, identified as a 34-year-old construction worker and a 31-year-old resident of the town, arrived at the scene. An intense argument, reportedly sparked by the victim’s unemployment and accusations of neglect toward his family, led to a brawl.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities located one of the suspects, who was confined in a hospital and is now under hospital arrest. The other suspect has been taken into custody and is currently detained.

Sibling dispute turns violent in Mangaldan

A heated argument between siblings in Mangaldan ended in violence, leaving one person injured and another in police custody.

The altercation involved a 29-year-old victim and a 24-year-old suspect, both men. According to reports, the siblings were inside their house when a disagreement escalated into a physical fight. During the altercation, the 24-year-old suspect stabbed his older brother.

Their brother-in-law, a 27-year-old man, intervened and stopped the scuffle. The injured victim was brought to the hospital for treatment, while the suspect was immediately arrested by responding police officers.

81-year-old killed in Umingan road mishap

An 81-year-old man died after being hit by a motorcycle while overtaking another vehicle in Umingan.

The victim was riding his motorcycle along the Provincial Road in Barangay Pemienta when he attempted to overtake another motorcycle, but lost control of his steering wheel and fell.

He was immediately brought to the hospital but died while receiving medical treatment. The other motorcycle rider who was hit was unharmed in the incident.

70-year-old cyclist killed in Dagupan truck accident

A 70-year-old man was killed after being hit by a truck while riding his bicycle in Dagupan City.

The victim, a room boy from San Fabian, was cycling along the Bonuan Binloc National Highway when the incident occurred. He was riding in the outer lane of the road when an aluminum van, driven by a 36-year-old company driver from Bugallon, struck him.

The elderly man suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.

Merchandiser injured in road mishap

A 42-year-old merchandiser was injured after his motorcycle was hit by a sport utility vehicle (SUV) in the town of Mabini.

The victim, identified as Diomedes Buen Regaspi, a resident of Poblacion, Alaminos, was reportedly riding his motorcycle along the northern side of the road. However, he suddenly merged onto the National Road, leading to a collision with an SUV driven by Alberto Birog Caberto, a 52-year-old businessman from Barangay Alos.

Regaspi sustained multiple injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Mechanic injured in Manaoag accident

A 70-year-old mechanic was injured after being struck by a tricycle while crossing the road in Barangay Babasit, Manaoag.

Based on the police investigation, the victim, identified as Juanito Cacaurin Sebastian of Barangay Balete, San Carlos City, was crossing a barangay road when he was hit by a tricycle driven by Venerando Prado De Guzman, a 55-year-old resident of Barangay Pugaro, Manaoag.

The impact caused injuries to various parts of the victim’s body. He was immediately brought to the hospital for medical treatment.
