Man electrocuted while climbing metal post
A man died after being electrocuted while climbing a metal post and accidentally came into contact with a live wire..
According to the victim’s brother-in-law, the man had climbed the post to remove old paint. However, during the ascent, he accidentally touched a live wire connected to the Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (PANELCO).
The victim received an electric shock and fell from the post. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending medical personnel.

Man stabbed while attempting to diffuse fight
A 22-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed during an altercation in Barangay Manat, Binmaley.
The victim, a construction worker, was attacked when he tried to break up a fight between two individuals. The suspect, a 40-year-old tricycle driver and construction worker, was later apprehended by authorities.
Witnesses said the victim approached the scene to intervene, but the suspect suddenly drew a knife and stabbed him in the back. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

Man electrocuted in Dagupan flood
A 27-year-old man died after being electrocuted while trapped in floodwaters in Dagupan City.
Police responded to the incident, which occurred around 10:00 p.m. along ABF Avenue, in front of the Post Office.
The victim was identified as Edmundo Orata Magno aka Elol, a helper and resident of Barangay Pantal West, Dagupan City.
Witness Christian Dela Torre Dela Cruz, a 42-year-old parking attendant and local resident, recounted that he and others found the victim unconscious, lying face down in floodwaters. As they attempted to pull him out, they felt the current of electricity in the water.
Magno was eventually retrieved from the flood by personnel from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC). He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Man drowns in Mangatarem dam
A 31-year-old man, identified as Fabio Gabultos Olagbay, a resident of Barangay Catagudingan, San Clemente, Tarlac, drowned in a dam in Mangatarem.
Based on the investigation, the victim and some companions went to Lucero Dam in Barangay Tagac to fish. The group was about to go swimming in the river when they heard the victim shouting for help.
Attempts were made to rescue him, but the current was too strong. His body was later recovered from a river in Barangay Suaco, approximately 500 meters from the scene of the incident.
The victim was brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Man killed over gambling dispute
A 62-year-old man was killed after being stabbed by a gambling partner during a wake in the town of Alcala.
The victim was identified as Rio Ribado Dingle, while the suspect is 45-year-old Amel Poctoles Licos, both residents of the town’s Barangay Pindandan West.
According to police investigations, the suspect lost the game, then left the scene, went to a nearby store to drink alcohol, and later returned to the gambling area. Without warning, he suddenly stabbed the victim multiple times, resulting in Dingle’s death.
The suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Licos is still being hunted by police as of writing.
