Pangasinan police vows to solve girl’s slaying
THE provincial police strongly condemned the killing of a seven-year-old girl whose lifeless body was found along the shoreline of Dagupan City at dawn on August 15.
“We will not rest until justice is served. The Pangasinan PNP will not tolerate such a heinous act, especially against an innocent child,” P/Colonel Ariel Mercullo, officer-in-charge of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, said in a statement issued Friday afternoon.
Responding police personnel, with the assistance of medico legal authorities and the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), immediately secured the area and initiated an investigation.
Mercullo has directed the Dagupan City Police Station and the Investigation Unit of the Police Provincial Office to provide full assistance and conduct an in-depth probe to hasten the resolution of the case. (Leonardo Micua)
