7-year-old girl found dead along Dagupan beach
A seven-year-old girl was found dead along the beach in Bangusville, Dagupan City, on Friday morning, August 15.
A couple walking along the shore found the victim lying naked and lifeless, prompting them to call the authorities.
The victim was later identified as Alleria Gabrielle Jamia, a resident of Bantog, Asingan.
Witnesses in the area said the victim had a wound on her neck, which they suspect may have killed her.
A source from the police force said an autopsy is being undertaken to determine the cause of death.
The victim’s family claimed that Jamia was kidnapped by individuals onboard a white Toyota Fortuner on Thursday afternoon, August 14.
“May PUTING FORTUNER na pumarada sa tapat ng bahay po mismo namin at binuhat siya papasok,” the victim’s aunt, Louisse Jade Ramos Orpilla, posted on her Facebook account.
Another relative of the victim, Mayanne, broke the news hours after the victim was found. She also appealed to netizens to respect the dead child and her grieving family.
“We kindly and urgently ask everyone to please stop sharing any videos or photos, especially the one at the beach,” she wrote.
The police have yet to issue an official statement on the case, but authorities from Asingan and Dagupan City are already jointly investigating to identify the perpetrators and exact justice. (Ahikam Pasion)
