A supporter of a local candidate in San Quintin town was shot dead while another was injured, along Figueroa Street in Barangay Poblacion last week.

The town’s police chief, P/Capt. Esteban Fernandez, said responding police officers arrived at the scene where they found victim with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.  The name of the deceased was not immediately released pending investigation.

According to witness accounts, the two victims were coming from a gathering at the residence of a candidate for the May 12 elections when they were reportedly blocked by two vehicles then shot by the unidentified assailants. (Ahikam Pasion)
