48 stolen phones during Bangusan Street Party recovered; police nab 4 suspects
THE police apprehended four suspects involved in a widespread mobile phone theft during the Bangusan Street Party on April 30, and recovered 48 devices.
The operation was led by officers from the Dagupan City Police under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Brendon Palisoc. In coordination with the 2nd Pangasinan Provincial Mobile Force Company (PPMFC) and other local police units, the law enforcement team tracked down and detained the suspects, who were three siblings and an accomplice, all residents of Quezon City.
The arrests followed a report from a student from Caalibangbangan, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, who was robbed of his phone while attending the festival. The victim tracked his missing device using the Google Find My Device application, which led authorities to a bus terminal along Perez Blvd. and later to Barangay Caranglaan.

Minor drowns in San Fabian; 2 others in Dagupan, Bolinao
A minor drowned in the ocean in Barangay Sobol, San Fabian as he went to the beach with an older sibling and a cousin to swim, without the knowledge of their parents. The older sibling of the victim quickly sought help from their father, who in turn called on local barangay officials to assist in recovering the child’s body.
In Dagupan City, a 26-year-old man was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital after drowning at the Tondaligan Beach. The victim was identified as Jeacon Torio Ramos, a butcher and resident of Barangay Bonuan Boquig.
Another 26-year-old man drowned in the waters off Barangay Patar, Bolinao.
The victim was identified as Lawrence Maglacas Valencia, a resident of Santolan, Pasig City. Authorities learned from the victim’s family that he ventured into deeper waters, where he was subsequently swept away by strong waves. Bystanders assisted in rescuing him, but despite being rushed to a medical facility, he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Malasiqui rider killed in road mishap
A 29-year-old rider was killed in Malasiqui after he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a parked truck. The victim, identified as Mark Jayson Pagtakhan Ancheta, a resident of Barangay Butao, was driving along a highway in Barangay Talospatang as he was heading towards the Poblacion area.
Doctors confirmed that the victim tested positive for alcohol at the time of the incident.

36-year old man found dead in his room
A 36-year-old man in Bani was found dead in his room by his father, initially believed to be due to natural causes but signs of blood were found as the body was being lifted to a stretcher.
Law enforcers were contacted but the family has since declined to have an autopsy performed on the victim. The victim’s father clarified that the family was not aware of any enemies his son may have had, although he did suffer from hypertension.

Man dead in Urdaneta accident
A 26-year-old endurance run participant lost his life in a motorcycle accident along the bypass road in Barangay Sto. Domingo in Urdaneta City.
According to reports, the accident involved a dropside truck, driven by 62-year-old Nelson Humawan Tumala from Barangay Makiling, Calamba, Laguna, and a motorcycle operated by Mark Jason Soriano Emeterio, a resident of Barangay Bungro, Luna, La Union.
Prior to the collision, both vehicles were traveling in the mid-lane when the truck slowed down and activated its hazard lights due to pedestrians crossing the road. Emeterio failed to slow down in time and collided with the rear of the truck.

P500K shabu seized in Rosales drug ops
THE Police Regional Office 1 intercepted 86 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱584,868.00 and apprehended three suspects during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Bartolome, Rosales. Among those arrested by the Rosales Municipal Police Station (MPS) is classified as a high-value target, while the other two are identified as street-level operatives.
The suspects include 44-year-old Franny Quines, a male identified as a high-value target from Barangay Tomana West, Rosales; 37-year-old Anna Marie Jovilla, a female overseas Filipino worker residing in Barangay Carmen East, Rosales; and 49-year-old construction worker Reynaldo Albano, also from Barangay Carmen East, Rosales.

Security guard stabbed in chest
A security guard sustained a chest wound after being attacked by an acquaintance in the town of Sual. According to the police, the suspect, Marlon Sirdual Salvador, 48, a fish cage watchman and resident of Barangay Baquioen, confronted Jun Frias Esqillo, 49, who was working at the time.
The victim was promptly rushed to the hospital for medical treatment, while authorities later apprehended the suspect during a follow-up operation.
