Police reminder: Gun ban in effect until June 11
THE Pangasinan PNP reminded the public that the gun ban remains in effect until June 11, the official last day of the 2025 election period.
P/ Col. Rollyfer Capoquian, Pangasinan PNP provincial director, said the police will continue to monitor and conduct operations to prevent carrying, transport, or possession of firearms and other potentially lethal weapons and this applies even to individuals with valid firearm licenses, unless specifically authorized by the Comelec.
Individuals apprehended for non-compliance could face serious penalties, including imprisonment, substantial fines, the cancellation of their firearm licenses, and even disqualification from holding public office. (Ahikam Pasion)
