Mother, daughter die in morning blaze
A tragic fire claimed the lives of a mother and her 10-year-old daughter at their house in Barangay Carmen West, Rosales early Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 7:00 AM, with initial reports indicating that the fire was sparked by faulty electrical wiring coming from an electric post along the barangay road.
Authorities from the Rosales Police Station and the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) Rosales, along with civilian volunteers from the local fire brigade, responded swiftly to the blaze.
However, despite their efforts, the victims, Sara Mae Palaroan Wong, 30 and her daughter Shein Wong, 10. were found dead inside their room during a rescue operation.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the exact cause of the fire, but early findings point to the electrical wiring from the nearby electric post as the source of the spark. (Eva Visperas)
