Lingayen PNP to deploy personnel for Pista’y Dayat, elections
THE Lingayen police is fully prepared for two upcoming major events, the annual Pista’y Dayat (Festival of the Sea) on May 1 and the midterm elections on May 12.
Lingayen Police Chief Colonel Amor Mio Somine said the deployment of policemen at beaches in Lingayen is already organized, with designated areas identified for monitoring.
Somine added that Police Provincial Director Colonel Rollyfer Capoquian has provided additional personnel to secure the beach area, particularly through the Baywalk Task Force and will be stationed in the Baywalk area, working alongside the Lingayen police to maintain safety.
Meanwhile, 68 officers will be deployed to ensure security across 34 polling precincts on election day. (Ahikam Pasion)
