5 drown in Pangasinan during the Holy Week
Five persons drowned in Pangasinan during the Holy Week, the Pangasinan Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported.
Dr. Vivian Espino, PHO officer- in-charge, said the casualties were reported to have drowned at the Maples River in Aguilar, Agno River in Rosales, Bagbag Beach in Sual, Bued River in Pozorrubio, and Embarcadero River in Malasiqui.
During the same period last year, there were six drowning incidents.
Authorities continuously remind the public to be disciplined and vigilant while swimming in rivers and beaches. (Kim Gealogo)
