2 nabbed in Dagupan drug ops, P136K shabu seized

AUTHORITIES seized suspected shabu valued at over P136,000 and arrested two individuals, a 37-year-old former overseas Filipino worker and a 38-year-old tricycle driver, both residents of Dagupan City, in a recent anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation.

Following the seizure, an immediate inventory and marking of the evidence were conducted in the presence of mandatory witnesses, according to legal requirements, and in front of the suspects.

Brothers’ dispute turn into stabbing

A drinking session between two brothers escalated into violence due to a long-standing feud, resulting in a stabbing incident in San Carlos City.

According to initial police investigations, 69-year-old Efren De Vera Escaño and his 52-year-old brother, Jerry De Vera Escaño, both residents of Barangay Bacnar, began their gathering peacefully. However, tensions quickly erupted as they reignited their old grievances, leading to a heated argument.

And Jerry, armed with a bolo, suddenly attacked Efren, inflicting serious injuries. Emergency medical services rushed Efren to the hospital for treatment, while police apprehended Jerry shortly after the incident.

Old man found dead in house 

AN elderly man was discovered dead inside his home in San Carlos City.

The victim, identified as 69-year-old Victorio Palaganas Felix Jr., was found by a local resident became suspicious due to an unpleasant odor emanating from Felix’s house in Sitio Karil, Barangay Bolingit.

Family members disclosed that Felix had a history of hypertension and diabetes and had long stopped taking his medication. They believe he suffered a heart attack, as there were no indications of foul play surrounding his death. An investigation is ongoing, but preliminary findings suggest a natural cause of death.

Motorcycle crash injures two

TWO handicraft workers were injured in a motorcycle accident in Barangay Cabanbanan, Manaoag.  The victims were identified as Virgilio Aquino Finuliar, 58, who was driving the motorcycle, and his passenger, Julius Ramos Finuliar, 27, both residents of Zone 2, Barangay Pugaro.

According to the police investigation, Virgilio lost control of the motorcycle’s handlebars, causing the vehicle to crash into a concrete barrier that resulted in injuries to various parts of their bodies.

4 injured in Bautista road mishap

FOUR individuals sustained injuries following a motorcycle collision in Barangay Diaz, Bautista that resulted in their vehicles tumbling into a drainage canal.  According to reports, the accident involved a motorcycle driven by 21-year-old Angelo Frias Garcia, a local farmer, and a second motorcycle rider, 38-year-old Michael Natividad Solomon, a resident of Barangay Manambong Parte, Bayambang. With Solomon was his passenger, 39-year-old Ronald Ignacio Mamiit.

Initial investigations revealed that Solomon lost control of the handlebars, causing his motorcycle to veer into the opposite lane and collided with Garcia. Both motorcycles and their riders were thrown into a nearby drainage canal. Authorities reported that all four individuals involved suffered various injuries and received medical attention after the accident.
