1 dead, 3 injured in Mangatarem road mishap
A motorcycle collided with a tricycle in Barangay Dorongan Punta, Mangatarem, resulting in the death of one passenger and injuries to three others.
According to authorities investigating the case, the tricycle driver, Julio Garcia Calangian, a 65-year-old resident of Bayambang, was carrying passengers Encarnacion Mejia Calangian, 64, and Liza Magno De Guzman, 39, when they were struck by a motorcycle driven by 29-year-old Rodmar Delo Santos Fabros, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.
Emergency responders rushed the victims to the hospital, where Encarnacion was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Construction worker dies from electrocution
A 26-year-old construction worker, Mark Andres, a resident of Barangay San Nicolas, died after he was accidentally electrocuted while on the job in Villasis.
According to police investigations, Andres was working in a trench for a mortality pit, where a submersible pump was also located and was electrocuted while attempting to switch on the pump to remove excess water from the area. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Andres was declared dead on arrival by attending doctors.

Fire engulfs house, warehouse in Dagupan
THE Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is currently investigating the cause of a fire that consumed a warehouse and several residences in Dagupan City last week. Liberty Go, a 40-year-old businesswoman and resident of Barangay Poblacion, first spotted a large blaze through their CCTV feed at their warehouse that contained light materials.
She and her husband Michael Go immediately sought assistance from the BFP, but the fire quickly spread to another warehouse nearby, which housed catering materials owned by local entrepreneur Myrna Aquino, along with two rental homes owned by 40-year-old businessman Audie Salindong, who also resides in the area.

Farmer shot dead amid land dispute
A farmer was killed after he was shot multiple times by a land caretaker in Alaminos City due to an ongoing land dispute. The victim, Marcellano Rabina, a resident of Barangay Pandan in Alaminos City, sustained numerous gunshot wounds to his body.
According to the police investigation and witness accounts, the suspect, 69-year-old Leonardo Fontanilla, a caretaker of a house and land, was driving his vehicle in Barangay Sabangan, Alaminos City, when the victim was following him on a motorcycle. Witnesses reported that the suspect abruptly stopped his vehicle, confronted the victim, and then retrieved a firearm from his bag, opening fire on Rabina who managed to run but was pursued by the suspect, who shot him in the head, leading to his death. The suspect fled but police conducted a hot pursuit operation that ultimately led to his arrest.

Farmer dies after being struck by cousin
A 56-year-old farmer was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital after being struck on the head with a wooden plank by his cousin during a heated argument in Sison town.
The victim, Primitivo Lagmay Jr., was in a drinking session with the suspect, 42-year-old Jerry Padron Lagmay, who also resides in Barangay Pindangan. According to police investigation, the two men got into a fierce argument while drinking, then Lagmay retrieved a piece of lumber and struck his cousin on the head, causing serious injuries. The suspect has been arrested and is facing charges.

Man nabbed in drug ops, yields P155K worth of shabu
A 35-year-old man was arrested in Malasiqui in a buy-bust police operation with P156,332 worth of shabu in his possession.
Arrested was Bryan Abin, also known as “King,” a resident of Barangay Asan Sur in Sison town after he handed a package containing approximately 0.67 grams of suspected shabu to an undercover buyer, valued at P4,556. He is charged for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
