Bucket with suspected shabu recovered in Agno
AN investigation is underway following the recovery of a bucket believed to contain the illegal drug shabu (methamphetamine) in Barangay Boboy in Agno town.
The bucket, found Friday morning by fisherman Abelardo Fernando Ramos Jr. while fishing approximately 20 nautical miles west of Barangay Macaboboni, was turned over to the Agno Police by Barangay Chairman Regie Ramos in the afternoon.
Inside the white bucket were two transparent plastic bags, one vacuum-sealed and the other open, containing a white powdery substance suspected to be shabu. The recovered substance is set to undergo forensic examination.
In previous months, authorities have received several reports and sightings of containers with suspected shabu, possibly linked to a large-scale syndicate operating from overseas to the Philippines, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency. (Ahikam Pasion)
