3 nabbed in Urdaneta drug-bust ops, yields gun

THE police apprehended three individuals in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bonuan Gueset, Urdaneta City, and confiscated suspects shabu worth ₱40,800 and a .45 caliber pistol.

One of the suspects, identified as 27-year-old Bobby, from Bonuan Gueset was nabbed with two co-accused, a 35-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both residents of Urdaneta City.

All three suspects are now facing charges for illegal drug charges.

2 senior citizens nabbed in Dagupan drug ops

TWO senior citizens were apprehended in Dagupan City during a buy-bust operation.

The suspects, identified as Lorna Moreno Tecson, 64, also known as “Nanay,” and Rogelio Pascua Perado, 67, alias “Tatay,” both residents of Sitio Korea, Bonuan Binloc, were caught with two packets of suspected shabu weighing approximately six grams, valued at ₱40,800, which was sold to an undercover buyer.

In a separate operation in San Fabian, a freelancer identified as Alvin Romero Rosario, 35, was arrested for drug-related charges. He was caught in Barangay Bolasi, where authorities seized two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 0.5 grams of suspected shabu, valued at ₱3,400. All the suspects are now under police custody, while illegal drug charges have been filed against them in violations of RA 9165 and RA 10591

Suspected drug dealer nabbed in Alaminos City

AUTHORITIES apprehended a high-value individual believed to be involved in the illegal drug trade during the execution of a search warrant in Barangay Palamis, Alaminos City.

Solomon Agloro De Castro II, 45, was taken into custody as the search uncovered a substantial cache of narcotics at his home. Officers seized 70 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P476,000.

In addition to the drugs, various illegal drug paraphernalia were also found at the premises.

Construction worker killed in Urdaneta crash

A construction worker was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital after being struck by a van while crossing the street in Urdaneta City.

The victim, identified as 62-year-old Renato Tomines Magno, was crossing the Manila North Road in Zone 1, Barangay Tulong, alongside two coworkers. Magno was hit by a van driven by 32-year-old Lester Elis Aclis, a farmer residing in Barangay Saguitlang, Tuba, Benguet, who will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.

Labrador poultry farm razed

A fire broke out at a poultry farm in the town of Labrador, leaving a trail of destruction and concern among the local community, but no one was reported to have been hurt or died.

The blaze, which occurred at the Jumel Aqua Culture Development Corporation in Labrador, was reported by a farm worker and authorities were immediately alerted.

The prompt response of firefighters from Labrador and Bugallon prevented the fire from spreading to other areas of the farm. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

2 killed in bypass road accident

TWO young men lost their lives in a motorcycle accident in the municipality of Calasiao.

According to police investigations, the incident occurred around 2 a.m. when a minor from Polong Malasiqui, who was speeding on his motorcycle along Arenas Boulevard in Barangay Bued collided head-on with another motorcycle driven by 25-year-old Virgilio Gonzales Baboza, a resident of Barangay Bacayao-Norte in Dagupan City.

The impact of the crash caused both riders to be thrown off their motorcycles. They were both rushed to the hospital but were declared dead on arrival by medical staff.

Minor drowns in fishpond

A 14-year-old boy drowned in a fishpond in Bayambang while accompanying his grandfather who was searching for shells.

According to police investigation, the boy, a resident of Barangay Nalsian Norte, Bayambang, was brought to the pond by Robert Valencia, a resident of Barangay Lumbang, Calasiao.

The grandfather left the boy at the side of the fishpond while he continued his search for shells but later realized that the boy was no longer there. His lifeless body was found after an hour of searching by the boy’s parents, some barangay officials from Goliman, Malasiqui, and residents of Barangay Nalsian Norte.
