Alcala’s ‘most wanted’ for rape cases nabbed
THE Alcala Municipal Police Station arrested on December 2, 2024 in Barangay Laoac the town’s most wanted person, who has pending cases for rape.
P/Major Mark Tubadeza, officer-in-charge of the Alcala police station, said the suspect was identified as Sherwin Delos Santos Dela Cruz, 31, a farmer, and a resident of the said barangay.
He was arrested based on three separate Warrants of Arrest for Statutory Rape without bail, Rape Through Sexual Assault with bail of P200,000, and Lascivious Conduct under Section 5 (B) of Republic Act 7610 or Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act with a recommended bail of P108,000.
The operation was conducted by the Alcala PNP at around 12:45 a.m. using an alternative recording device as part of their equipment.
The Alcala police encouraged the public to cooperate in providing information about criminals to ensure the community’s safety. (Kim Gealogo)
