SUV collides with multiple vehicles, 1 dead
A fatal accident occurred in Malasiqui when an SUV crashed into six vehicles, resulting in one death and several injuries.
The incident took place along Magsaysay St. in Barangay Poblacion, where a tricycle, pickup truck, motorcycle, and an SUV were all traveling in sequence when suddenly, the SUV, driven by 66-year-old Rodrigo Robles Quinzon, surged forward and collided with the other vehicles, including a tricycle coming from the opposite lane.
The motorcycle driver, 42-year-old John Tamayo Rosal, sustained critical injuries from the impact and was rushed to a medical facility, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Other drivers and passengers in the involved vehicles suffered minor injuries.

Father and son killed in San Carlos City accident
A father and son lost their lives when their motorcycle was struck by an L-300 van in San Carlos City.
The victims, 58-year-old Arnel Bandong Hitomo and his 26-year-old son, Raymart Bandong Hitomo, both residents of Barangay Magtaking, were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
The duo was riding their motorcycle along the provincial road in Barangay Coliling, returning home from work, when a van driven by 54-year-old Marcelino De Guzman Montemayor veered into their lane and hit them.

Gas station attendant killed in Bayambang robbery
A 27-year-old gas station attendant in Bayambang was fatally stabbed while defending himself against robbers.
The victim, Francis Fernandez, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Malasiqui, was about to close the gas station in Barangay Sancagulis when two men arrived on a motorcycle. Initially, Fernandez thought they wanted to refuel but the armed suspects declared a robbery.
Local police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspects.

2 men nabbed for attempted robbery in Sta. Barbara
TWO men were apprehended by police after attempting to rob a tricycle driver in the town of Sta. Barbara. The suspects, identified as 42-year-old Jerry De Vera Cabugao from McArthur Street, San Carlos City, and 38-year-old Larry Matabang Quintas, from M. Soriano Street, San Carlos City, were arrested by responding policemen of the Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit.
The victim, 45-year-old tricycle driver Jovan Tamayo Paraan, a resident of Barangay Poblacion Norte, sought help from the officers after he saw the two men stealing his sling bag from inside his tricycle that was parked near a church.
Both suspects were found in possession of two loaded 38 caliber guns.

Drowning claims life of 14-year-old in Agno River; 70-year-old woman found dead in Alaminos
AUTHORITIES are currently searching for a 14-year-old boy who drowned in the Agno River in Tayug.
The victim, Jeorge Tambo Pizarro, a Grade 9 student and resident of Barangay Bantog, Asingan, went with friends to swim in the river at Barangay Guzon. When approached the riverbank, he slipped and fell into the water. The strong current immediately swept him away.
In Alaminos City, 70-year-old Clarita Alamar Borje, a resident of Barangay Telbang, was found dead near a river after she went searching for her husband the previous evening in the middle of strong currents caused by Typhoon Kristine.

18-year-old dies after drowning in Sta. Barbara river
AN 18-year-old man drowned in the river in Sta. Barbara after he slipped and fell into the water and was subsequently swept away by the strong current.
The victim identified as John Peter Garcia Panti, a scrap metal dealer and resident of the Resettlement Area in Barangay Leet, Sta. Barbara, was with friends for a swim.
According to police investigation, Panti’s friends immediately called for help from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, which swiftly initiated a search and rescue operation. Panti was found entangled in bamboo near the river but was unresponsive.

Over P1-M worth of cigarettes stolen in CSI Mangaldan burglary
THE Mangaldan Police is conducting an investigation into a burglary at CSI Mangaldan, where 19 boxes of cigarettes worth P1.47 million had gone missing.
At around 7:40 a.m., store manager Mary Grace Columbres Visperas, a 36-year-old resident of Barangay Capaoay, San Jacinto, noticed water dripping from the ceiling upon entering the store and checked the source of the leak and discovered holes in the roof.
Investigators questioned duty guard Reynaldo Aquino Cuison, 41, of Barangay Guesang, Mangaldan, and Arvin Orte Raboy, 34, of Barangay Longos, Parak Parak, San Fabian, who both stated they did not notice any suspicious activity within the premises. The police are now reviewing CCTV footage from CSI and nearby establishments to identify the perpetrators.
