THE Police Community Academy (PCA) — a program that aims to develop leadership, good citizenship, and patriotism, while promoting peace-building activities for youth aged 12 to 22 — was launched on November 19 at the Sison Auditorium in Lingayen.

About 1,800 participants joined the event, including police officers and youth dependents.

Aligned with the 7-Point Agenda of P/BGen Lou Evangelista, police regional director for Region 1, the PCA is a collaborative initiative involving schools, universities, and community stakeholders.

In his speech, Evangelista emphasized the program’s role in teaching the youth the importance of discipline, responsibility, and peace in the community, and the need for community support in achieving a safer Pangasinan.

The event was attended by Executive Assistant II Ronn Dale Castillo, representing Governor Ramon Guico III, along with PCA Ambassador Yzabelle Evangelista.

Similar launches were held in La Union and Ilocos Sur earlier this year. (Eva Visperas)
