THE Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) has taken a significant step towards enhancing community safety and response times with the launch of the mobile application iPolice e-Buzz-ER — which stands for Ilocos Region Police Online, Law Enforcement, Investigation, Community Affairs, and Emergencies Electronic Buzz Emergency Response — on Oct. 14.

This innovative digital tool provides a direct line of communication between citizens and law enforcement, empowering residents to report incidents, access emergency services, and stay informed about local safety initiatives.

With this app, citizens can swiftly report crimes, suspicious activities, or emergencies directly to the nearest police station. It also provides easy access to emergency numbers, ensuring prompt assistance in critical situations.

Residents can likewise share their opinions, suggestions, and concerns regarding police services, fostering a collaborative approach to public safety.

Police Brigadier General Lou Evangelista, PRO1 regional director, emphasized the importance of this technological advancement in strengthening the Philippine National Police’s commitment to public service.

“Sa pamamagitan ng app na ito, inaasahan nating mapapabilis ang pagtugon sa mga emergency, mapapaayos ang komunikasyon sa ating mga stakeholders, at higit na mapagbubuti ang serbisyo sa publiko,” he said.

He encouraged the public to download and familiarize themselves with the application as residents of Region 1 have already expressed enthusiasm for the new app.
