Couple trapped in Lingayen fire die
A couple died in a devastating fire that engulfed the home of a couple in the town of Lingayen.
The incident occurred in Barangay Matalava, where the victims identified as Ronalyn de Guzman Repato, a 31-year-old public school teacher, and Wendy Gamboa Repato, 35, residents of Barangay Manlocboc, Aguilar died.
According to police investigation, the woman’s father, Roger Ramos de Guzman, first detected the smell of something burning inside the house, went to check, and found the kitchen already ablaze.
The victims, who were asleep in their bedroom, were unable to escape in time.
The initial estimated damage to the house amounts to P135,000. (Ahikam Pasion)
