Two women swindlers arrested in Villlasis
TWO women in the wanted list for swindling were arrested when lawmen served warrants for their arrest last July 30 in Villasis.
P/Major Edgar Allan Serquiña, Villasis chief of police, identified the suspects as Gina Sanchez, 49, and Marites Mones, 52, both residents of Barangay San Nicolas, Villasis.
He revealed that the culprits were arrested for a case of estafa when they swindled a number of people in a quick money scheme, racking up a total of P200,000. They perpetrated their scamming activity by reportedly forging the signature of the Mayor Nonito Abrenica.
The two remain under the custody of the Villasis police after failing to post P18,000 each as bail bond for their temporary release. (Kim Gealogo)
