SP condemns gun attack on Bugallon SK chair
THE provincial board strongly condemned the August 17 shooting of Efren Dela Cruz, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman of Barangay Salomague Norte in Bugallon, who survived the attack by an apparent stranger who was suspiciously lurking in his community.
Board Member Joyce Fernandez, the provincial SK Federation president, sponsored the resolution during the Sangguniang Panlalawigan session on August 19.
The 23-year old youth leader was on his way home when he noticed and approached a man in a black jacket and pants on a bicycle along a dark area of the national highway in his barangay. Upon questioning, the suspect responded by drawing a 9mm firearm and shot him several times in the chest, stomach, and left arm.
He was rushed to Jesus Nazarene General Hospital in Lingayen for treatment. (Eva Visperas)
