SK kagawad in Binalonan commits suicide
A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) kagawad in Binalonan committed suicide inside their house in Guico St., Barangay Sto. Niño, Binalonan on July 9.
Jefferson Flores, 22, single, was found hanging on a steel beam inside their stock room. He tied his neck with a nylon rope.
Prior to the incident at around 1:06 a.m. on July 9, the victim’s friend, Jayson Paringit, 25, a teacher and resident of Barangay Canarvacanan, Binalonan, received a suicide message from Jefferson, prompting Jayson to go to the victim’s house to inform his family about it.
There, they went around the house and found Jefferson hanging.
They rushed him to Urdaneta District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by his attending physician.
The victim reportedly suffered from depression due to lung cancer. (Eva Visperas)
