Two nabbed in Alcala drug buy-bust
LAWMEN confiscated 10 grams of shabu with a street value of PhP68,000 and arrested two street-level individuals (SLIs) during a buy-bust operation on June 1 in Barangay Laoac, Alcala town.
The local police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 1 (PDEA-RO1), also nabbed a 43-year-old resident of Barangay Padilla, San Carlos City alias “Enteng” and a 42-year-old resident of Barangay Lepa, Malasiqui. Both individuals are married, unemployed, and classified as street-level individuals, the police said.
P/Brig. Gen. Lou Evangelista, police regional director of the Police Regional Office 1, said the dedication and cooperation among the police, PDEA, and the community are crucial in their ongoing fight against illegal drug trafficking . (Eva Visperas)
