Drug-bust ops yield 300k shabu
TWO men were arrested after being caught with illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in the town of Sta. Maria.
The operation was conducted by operatives from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Units, PIU Pang PPO, RID-PRO1, RPDEU-PRO1, PDEG SOU 1, and Sta. Maria Police Station, in coordination with PDEA-RO1, at Barangay Cauplasan, Sta. Maria.
The suspects were identified as Mark June Velasco Lobusta, alias “KWAROG,” a 40-year-old farmer, and his accomplice Judy Gracio De Vera, alias “PAPAR,” a 38-year-old welder, both residents of Barangay San Leon, Umingan town.
Seized from them were four packets of suspected shabu weighing 45 grams valued at P306,000. Also seized were P500 cash used as marked money, a glass case was used as a container for shabu, along with a cellphone and other items.
The two are set to be charged with violating RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Ahikam Pasion)
