Skull recovered in Sta Barbara River

A HUMAN skull was dug out during an ongoing dredging operation in Barangay Maticmatic, Santa Barbara and was  immediately turned  over to the barangay.

Upon hearing the news, married couple Andres and Rosalinda Dagnil, residents of same area, also rushed to the area, with the possibility that the skull belongs to their missing son Adrian, 12 years old.

The Dagnils said Adrian went missing on September 2022 as he was swept away by floodwaters in the river during said period. His body was never recovered.

The Dagnils are hoping that the skull could belong to their son. They are hoping that the entirety of the remains may be recovered so they could give it a proper burial.

Authorities, however, could neither confirm or deny the possibility that the skull may be Adrian’s.

Further examinations and tests are needed to confirm if the skull really belongs to the youngster.
